Job summary

Dekoruma is seeking a buyer/sourcing professional to drive category performance through new product development and SKU replacements, focusing on margin improvements via better sourcing and cost structure. You will build a product ladder using sales data, customer insights, and benchmarks, and work with factories to resolve quality issues while managing development from sampling to PO.

Qualifications

2–3 years buying, merchandising, sourcing, or product development in furniture/home living.
Hands-on factory experience with cost negotiation and product specification trade-offs.
Able to describe a product from concept to launch with commercial, cost, material, or quality decisions.
Knowledge of furniture construction and materials (wood, upholstery, foam, finishes, hardware).
Comfort with data: sales, margins, product performance, and customer segmentation.
Strong commercial judgment and curiosity about product performance and buyer behavior.
Willing to travel for sourcing fairs, supplier meetings, and factory visits.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

Drive category performance through new product development and SKU optimization.
Identify margin improvements via better sourcing, materials, specs, or cost structure.
Develop a clear product ladder across price points and customer needs using data and benchmarks.
Work with factories to resolve product and quality issues and manage development from sampling to PO.
Build long-term supplier relationships and participate in sourcing fairs and factory visits.
