Job summary

PT JHL TRANS INDONESIA is seeking a Vendor Management Staff to join the Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory team in Jakarta. You will identify, source, and evaluate vendors for barges, domestic inter-island transport, land transport, ocean/air freight, and warehousing, while coordinating schedules and maintaining contract records.

Key tasks include preparing price quotations, issuing POs, and ensuring turnaround times for quotes.

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s (S1) in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Transportation, Business Administration or related fields.
• Experience in vendor management or procurement within logistics sectors is preferred.
• Strong MS Excel skills and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source and evaluate vendors for multi-modal logistics (barges, inland transport, freight, warehousing).
• Prepare price quotations for internal teams and customers.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and service orders.
• Provide quotes within 24-48 hours of request.
• Coordinate shipping schedules with barge owners and transporters.
• Maintain vendor contracts and rate cards archives.
• Assess vendor performance against delivery, quality and contractual terms.
