Job summary

Lign Co in Indonesia is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core systems across Next.JS frontends, FastAPI backends, and Terraform-based infrastructure in GCP. You will own substantial parts of the development lifecycle in a pre-seed fintech venture.

You will collaborate with product and design, raise engineering standards from day one, mentor future engineers, and help grow the team as we tackle payments, data, and core financial services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing scalable, distributed backend systems.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.
• Startup environment with ownership and fast pace.
• Bonus: fintech/banking/payments experience.
• Bonus: AI-powered features released to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core systems across Next.js frontends, FastAPI backends, or Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning in GCP.
• Take full ownership of the software development lifecycle—from design and development to testing, deployment, and production operations.
• Collaborate with product, design, and the founding team to translate user needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Establish and champion high engineering standards across codebase, infrastructure, and processes from day one.
• Help grow the engineering team by recruiting great engineers and mentoring future hires.
