Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Jakarta team. You will work with a mentor to drive medium to large projects, while collaborating in requirements and design sessions to implement scalable solutions.

You will also contribute to APIs, databases, and bug fixes for a large user base on GCP-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of senior experience, strong Java/NodeJS skills, and experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Git, and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Senior level experience; fintech/banking industry is a plus.
• Strong coding skills in Java and/or Node.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Experience with Git and GitHub/Phabricator.
• Passionate about building products using technology to solve real-world problems.
• Curiosity to explore creative solutions and integrate them into workable systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor to achieve team goals and grow professionally.
• Carry the execution of medium to large size projects as assigned by PM/Lead Software Engineer.
• Collaborate in requirement/spec phases and design solutions with the team.
• Contribute to building APIs, enhancing functionalities, and fixing bugs for a large user base.
• Work with advanced DevOps tooling on Google Cloud Platform to support deployments.
