Job summary

Siloam Hospital Makassar seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee FM and GA services, supervise technicians, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations. This role focuses on coordinating maintenance and safety across hospital facilities to support quality patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in FM or related field, 4–5 years in hospital FM, and at least 2 years in supervision, with strong skills in Excel, Word, and FM software.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of facilities management experience in a hospital setting, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Deep understanding of FM principles, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor FM & GA service strategies to meet hospital targets and quality standards.
• Lead and develop technicians and GA staff for effective FM operations within budgets and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, prioritize, and supervise repair and maintenance of buildings and medical equipment with cost efficiency.
• Handle and evaluate service user complaints to drive improvements.
• Build trust and relationships with external vendors, contractors and government agencies.

Job description

Siloam Hospital Makassar is a referral centre that supports Siloam network hospitals in the provinces of Sulawesi, Maluku, NTT and Papua. The hospital is collaborating with the Faculty of Medicine of Hasanudin University Makassar to establish a medical education centre and improve health services for people in the area, while strengthening Makassar's status as the Gateway to a more developed Eastern Indonesia.

Job Description

• Plan and monitor the implementation of FM & GA service strategies and initiatives in achieving Hospital performance targets related to risk management and ensuring service quality in accordance with applicable standards, provisions and laws/regulations
• Provide leadership and guidance in directing and developing a team of technicians and GA staff to ensure Hospital FM and GA operations and initiatives are established and implemented effectively in accordance with approved budgets, agreed performance targets and applicable regulatory, licensing and accreditation requirements
• Plan, prioritize, and supervise every repair and maintenance activity for facilities (buildings, medical equipment, etc.) carried out in a timely, cost-effective manner and with minimal risk of damage
• Handle and evaluate complaints from service users to plan service improvements
• Build trust and develop good working relationships with external parties, third party vendors/contractors and government agencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree from Facilities Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or any related major
• Have minimum of 4-5 years of experience in facilities management experience in a hospital setting (preferably with minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in the relevant field)
• Deep understanding of facilities management principles, including maintenance, safety, and compliance.
• Proficiency in facilities management software, administrative systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously.
