Job summary

PT HUANENG NEW MATERIAL is seeking a safety professional to monitor fire control equipment, respond to emergencies, and conduct safety inspections at its Halmahera Island facility in North Maluku, Indonesia. The role requires AK3U and Class D firefighter certificates, along with a Diploma or higher in safety, environmental, or chemical engineering.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in safety, environmental, or chemical engineering.
• AK3U certificate and Class D firefighter certificate.
• At least 1 year of fire safety experience.
• Experience with Indonesia K3L or international certification.
• Familiar with Indonesian safety standards and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor state in service of fire control equipment and maintain recordings.
• Fire emergency response: confirm fire and initiate plan, notify evacuation, coordinate with authorities.
• Safety inspection and hazard investigation of exits and extinguishers.
• 24 hour duty with 12 hour shifts and detailed recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with Health, Safety and Environment team to identify and mitigate risks.

Job description

Equipmentmonitorandoperation:Monitorthestateinserviceoffirecontrolequipment(suchasfirealarmsystem,automaticfireextinguishingsystem),anddealwiththeabnormalsituationintime.Beskilledinoperatingfirefightingfacilities,maintainingandrecordingregularmaintenance.

Fireemergencyresponse:Uponreceivingthealarm,quicklyconfirmthefire,initiatetheemergencyplan,notifytheevacuationandcallthepolice.Jointlyactivatefirepumps,smokepreventionandotherequipmenttoassistinfirerescue.

Safetyinspectionandhazardinvestigation:inspectfireexitsandfacilities(extinguishers,firehydrants)toensuretheirintegrityandsafety.Whenahazardisdiscovered,promptlynotifytherectificationandfollowup.

Hoursofdutyandrecords:24hoursofduty(12hoursShiftWork),andcommunicationshallbemaintained.Keepdetailedrecordsofequipmentoperation,alarmdisposal,etc.

Collaborate with the Health, Safety and Environment team to identify and mitigate potential fire risks

What we're looking for
