Job summary

PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia is seeking a dedicated Safety Supervisor to join our team in Cikampek, West Java. This full-time role focuses on implementing and maintaining rigorous health, safety and environmental standards across our construction operations.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, deliver safety training, and drive a culture of zero harm while ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations and our integrated management system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in the chemical, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing industry.
• Holds a valid Ahli K3 Umum (AK3U) certification from the Ministry of Manpower. Additional certifications such as AK3 Kimia, fire safety, first aid, confined space, or working at height are a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of Indonesian OHS legislation (UU No. 1/1970, PP No. 50/2012 on SMK3) and international standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
• Practical competence in HIRADC, JSA, Permit to Work, safety inspection and audit, and incident investigation using root cause analysis methods.
• Experience leading or coordinating emergency response activities, including drills, evacuation, and ERT coordination.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to deliver safety training to diverse audiences including employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, assertive in enforcing standards, and able to work under pressure.
• Computer literate (MS Office) with good reporting and data analysis skills; working proficiency in English.

About the role

PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Supervisor to join our team in Cikampek, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance across our construction operations. As Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining rigorous safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organisation. This position reports directly to senior management and has a strategic impact on our commitment to zero-harm workplace practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS/K3) standards across all operational areas, ensuring safe work procedures are consistently followed to prevent near-misses and workplace accidents.
• Identify workplace hazards and safety risks, and implement the required preventive and corrective actions to reduce the likelihood of incidents.
• Plan and conduct routine inspections and compliance audits against OHS SOPs, programs, and regulations to evaluate compliance and program effectiveness, and to close out minor and major findings.
• Arrange and deliver safety training, induction, and socialization for employees, visitors, and business partners to strengthen safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture at the worksite so that safe behavior becomes an established habit among employees.
• Inspect all safety and emergency equipment to ensure it is in good condition and ready for use in an emergency.
• Organize and conduct emergency response drills and simulations, and evaluate Emergency Response Team (ERT) performance to ensure emergencies can be effectively controlled.
• Respond promptly to workplace accidents, lead the investigation process, and ensure corrective actions prevent escalation and recurrence.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on safety conditions and incidents to keep management updated on the current safety status.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct, Company Regulations, Collective Labor Agreement (CLA/PKB), and applicable legislation; maintain the integrated management system covering quality, environment, and OHS; and report every environmental, safety, and fire incident in line with established procedures.
• Implement and maintain the 5S concept (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) in accordance with company standards.
• Motivate, develop, and evaluate the competency and performance of subordinates, continuously improve own competency, and maintain effective communication and cooperation with superiors and other departments.
