Job summary

GEA Group Indonesia seeks a Finance Manager to oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and compliance, ensuring timely IFRS/PSAK reporting for the group headquarters. The role leads month/quarter/year-end closings, prepares consolidated statements, and supports external audits.

You will drive internal controls, manage treasury operations, and provide strategic financial insights to senior management to optimize costs and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from a reputable university.
  • Tax Brevet A&B and C.
  • Having at least 10 years of solid accounting background in MNC environment, preferably Engineering or Trading company.
  • Good understanding of IFRS/PSAK Accounting standards.
  • Taking initiatives, plans and organize own tasks effectively to ensure that work is completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Good organization skills due to the need to work in a relatively fast paced MNC environment.
  • Good communication skills to effectively manage the tasks with internal colleagues and external service providers.
  • Sets priorities, knows how to get things done, understands cultures of organizations, understands rationale behind policies, procedures and practices.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems Sage Accpac and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for legal entity, NPE reporting.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR aging reports, fixed asset ledgers, and stock ledgers.
  • Prepare consolidated P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain documentation for external audit and act as main contact for auditors.
  • Ensure full IFRS, PSAK, and local statutory reporting compliance.
  • Provide tax compliance support during tax audits.
  • Manage treasury operations including daily cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Develop FX hedging strategies and hedge accounting compliance.
  • Oversee banking relations including bank guarantees and LC management.
  • Coordinate annual budgeting and consolidate inputs from departments.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and analyze variances vs budget.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and reduce risk.
  • Identify inefficiencies and streamline accounting processes.

Job description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's overall accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and compliance functions, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This role leads month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, prepares consolidated financial statements, and ensures full compliance with IFRS, IAS, tax regulations, and local statutory requirements.


The Finance Manager serves as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax authorities, maintaining high-quality financial documentation and supporting audit activities. The role also manages treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships, intercompany transactions, foreign exchange risk management, and hedging activities.


In addition, the Finance Manager plays a key role in financial planning and analysis by coordinating annual budgeting processes, preparing financial forecasts, monitoring business performance against budget, and providing actionable insights to senior management. The position is responsible for establishing strong internal controls, safeguarding company assets, minimizing financial risks, and driving continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the finance and accounting function.


This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, strategic financial management capabilities, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to supporting business growth and operational excellence.


Responsibilities / Tasks


  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for legal entity specifically NPE reporting, ensuring accurate, timely reporting to group headquarters.

  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR aging reports, fixed asset ledgers, and stock ledgers.

  • Prepare consolidated Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.

  • Maintain comprehensive, high-quality documentation for external audit preparation and act as the main point of contact for auditors.

  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS, IAS, and local statutory financial reporting requirements.

  • Ensure tax compliance and full support and cooperation during Tax Audit.

  • Manage treasury operations, including daily cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and intercompany transactions.

  • Develop and execute FX hedging strategies to mitigate currency risk, including preparing derivative valuations and ensuring hedge accounting compliance.

  • Oversee banking relationships, including application, renewal, and management of Bank Guarantee and L/C.

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process, collecting and consolidating inputs from various departments.

  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts and analyze variances between actuals and budgeted spending.

  • Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to senior management to guide strategic decision-making and cost optimization.

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risk.

  • Identify and correct inefficiencies within the accounting department to streamline processes.
