Job summary

PT Sam Bound Mitra Indonesia is seeking an experienced Finance Accounting Tax Manager in Brebes, Central Java. You will lead the financial accounting and tax functions, drive reporting accuracy, and ensure regulatory compliance across the organisation.

In this senior role, you will oversee accounting policies, manage relationships with auditors and tax authorities, and guide budgeting and forecasting while delivering cost improvements and strategic financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in financial accounting and tax management
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation laws and regulations
• Experience with financial accounting software and systems
• Proven ability to manage and lead a finance team
• Understanding of GAAP or IFRS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders
• CPA or equivalent preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or related industries advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the financial accounting department, including day-to-day operations and team performance
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and documentation
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organisation
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other statutory obligations
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records and documentation
• Support the finance team in budget planning and forecasting activities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Accounting Tax Manager to join PT Sam Bound Mitra Indonesia. This is a full-time position based in Brebes, Central Java, where you will take a strategic leadership role in managing the company's financial accounting and tax functions. As Finance Accounting Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, tax compliance, and accounting operations, ensuring the organisation maintains the highest standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in financial accounting and tax management
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation laws and regulations
• Experience with financial accounting software and systems
• Proven ability to manage and lead a finance team
• Excellent understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Professional accounting qualification (such as CPA or equivalent) is preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or related industries is advantageous
