Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to provide installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for industrial homogenizer systems used in the food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and chemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude combined with process engineering knowledge, enabling them to support both equipment performance and production process optimization at customer sites.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, start-up, commissioning, and validation of homogenizers and related processing equipment.
• Conduct equipment performance testing and ensure compliance with operational specifications.
• Support factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, process, and operational issues.
• Troubleshoot high-pressure homogenization systems, pumps, valves, seals, pistons, hydraulic systems, and associated process equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.

Process Support

• Assist customers in optimizing homogenization processes to achieve target product quality and production efficiency.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding pressure settings, flow rates, product characteristics, and process parameters.
• Support process improvement initiatives for dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and liquid food applications.

Customer Support

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training programs.
• Prepare detailed service reports and recommendations following service visits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Spare Parts & Service Sales Support

• Identify opportunities for spare parts replacement, equipment upgrades, and service contracts.
• Support sales teams with technical assessments and customer consultations.
• Provide cost-effective maintenance recommendations.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all service activities comply with company safety standards and customer site requirements.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and pharmaceutical industry guidelines where applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Process Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of field service, maintenance, or process engineering experience.
• Experience with homogenizers, high-pressure pumps, separators, heat exchangers, filling systems, processing equipment, or rotating machinery is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting food & beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or chemical manufacturing plants is advantageous.

Mechanical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
• Pumps and fluid handling systems
• Bearings, seals, pistons, and valves
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Preventive and corrective maintenance
• Mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Process Knowledge

• Understanding of:
• CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems
• Dairy and beverage processing
• Emulsification and particle size reduction
• Process optimization and production efficiency

Electrical & Controls (Preferred)

• Basic understanding of:
• PLC systems
• VFDs
• Instrumentation and sensors
• Electrical troubleshooting
