Job summary

Sandvik Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Field Service based in Balikpapan, Kalimantan. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment, ensure compliance with HSE policies, and document all work and parts used.

Applicants should have over 4 years of maintenance experience, strong hydraulics and electrical knowledge, and familiarity with CAN Bus systems. Travel to customer sites within Indonesia may be required, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of experience in maintenance, ideally in mining or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required documentation, including work orders and timesheets.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hoses, tubing, piping, and fittings; identify deficiencies.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy mobile equipment.
• Troubleshoot CAN Bus and PLC-based controls as part of routine maintenance.
• Ensure safe operation by following HSE policies and reporting incidents.
• Collaborate with site team and supervisors to plan maintenance activities.
