Job summary

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, part of the Sandvik Group, seeks a motivated Maintenance Technician – Field Service based in Balikpapan, Kalimantan. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure safe, reliable operation of heavy equipment on customer sites.

The role requires hands-on field experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Occasional travel within Indonesia is expected.

Qualifications

• Over 4 years of experience in maintenance, ideally in mining or heavy equipment.
• Proven track record in maintaining and troubleshooting Sandvik or similar OEM mining equipment.
• Strong foundation in electric and hydraulic systems and understanding of Can Bus.
• Eligible to live and work in Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy mobile equipment and assess conditions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and hydraulic systems and PLC/remote control systems when needed.
• Prepare documentation, work orders, and timesheets for accurate tracking and traceability.
