Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Field Agronomist to execute high-quality field trials across Sulawesi, delivering trial data for product advancement, registration, launch readiness, and local technical positioning.

You will convert field observations into decision-ready insights through collaboration with ARI SEAP1, Regulatory Science, and growers, while coordinating with trial leads and partners. The role requires extensive travel within Sulawesi and Indonesia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Protection, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
• Strong practical knowledge of crop protection, pest, disease and weed management, field trials, and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Ability to translate trial observations into reliable conclusions and customer-relevant insights.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and field-organization skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with growers and external institutes.
• Understanding of registration-trial requirements, stewardship, safety, and data-quality expectations.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and oral.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Sulawesi and Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute regional, local, and pipeline trials in Sulawesi with adherence to protocols and quality standards.
• Provide field insights to protocols and technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with ARI SEAP1, Product Agronomy Asia, Regulatory Science, and teams.
• Support regulatory science activities including supervised registration trials.
• Translate trial outcomes into technical updates and training materials.
• Coordinate day-to-day trial activities with Field Development Assistants and growers.
• Maintain accurate records and timely reporting of trial status and results.
• Engage with growers, universities, and external partners to strengthen collaboration.
