Daikin Industries Indonesia seeks a Water Treatment Technician to manage daily operations of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), ensuring water quality meets applicable standards and supporting plant utilities. The role requires at least 2 years in water treatment or similar, knowledge of WTP/WWTP processes, and ability to work shifts.
Compliance with safety, 5S, and regulatory requirements is essential.
Minimum education: D3 in Chemistry. (A degree in Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering is a plus.)
At least 2 years of experience in clean water treatment, industrial wastewater management, or plant utilities.
Understand WTP/WWTP processes, water chemistry (organic/inorganic), and stoichiometry for chemical dosing (coagulants, flocculants, antiscalants, biocides, etc.).
Able to interpret laboratory data and process trends for operational optimization.
Familiar with clean water/wastewater quality standards (related government regulations) and safety practices.
Proficient in basic instrumentation (pH meter, turbidimeter, DO meter); knowledge of SCADA/DCS systems is a plus.
Willing to work in shifts if necessary.
Manage daily operations of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure water quality meets applicable standards.
Optimize treatment processes including coagulation-flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and advanced treatment (e.g., RO/UF) as required.
Monitor water quality parameters (pH, TSS, COD, BOD, ammonia, free chlorine, conductivity, etc.) and prepare regular reports.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for equipment (pumps, blowers, dosing systems, instrumentation).
Develop SOPs, conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations, and recommend process improvements.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and standards, including reporting to relevant authorities.
Coordinate with related departments (Production, EHS, Utility) to support water availability and wastewater management.
Guide and train operators on safety, 5S, and operational compliance.
