Job summary

BDx Data Centers in Jakarta is seeking a Facilities Operations Lead to manage a team of technicians responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of mission-critical data center facilities around the clock.

The role centers on coordinating with contractors, driving safe, compliant operations, and ensuring ISO-related processes are followed, with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and rapid response to incidents.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of 24x7 mission critical facilities.
• Strong teamwork, project management, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge and experience in ISO certification and audits.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facilities technicians to operate and maintain data centre facilities on a 24x7 basis to meet service levels.
• Project engineer of additions & alterations for new and existing customers.
• Manage contractors and vendors in operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical facilities.
• Respond to emergencies and lead teams to resume availability and service levels.
• Develop, review and revise O&M requirements, procedures and programmes with internal parties and vendors; evaluate vendor performance.
• Participate in ISO certifications and audits.
• Maintain inventories of facilities, apparatus and tools.
• Lead and train technicians to follow SOPs and escalation, incident, and change procedures.
• Assist reporting manager in administration of the facilities team.
• Work in shifting model (6 days duty - 2 days off) 8 hours per day.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage facilities technicians to operate and maintain mission critical facilities of data centres on 24x7 basis to achieve service level requirements and specifications.
• Project engineer of addition & alternation works of new and existing customers.
• Manage contractors and vendors in operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical facilities.
• Respond to emergencies and lead the facilities technicians and service vendors to resume availability and service levels of the data centres.
• Develop, review and revise operation & maintenance requirements, procedures and programmes with internal parties and service vendors. Evaluate vendor performance and report to manager.
• Participate in ISO certifications and audits.
• Maintain and update accurate inventories of facilities, apparatus and tools.
• Lead and train technicians to follow and comply with standard operating procedures, escalation procedures, incident & change procedures.
• Assist reporting manager in administration of the facilities team.
• Work in Shifting model (6 days duty - 2 days off) disregarding public holiday, 8 hours per Day.

Qualification and Experience:

• Degree / Higher Diploma graduates in Building Services/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years or above experience in operation and maintenance of 24x7 mission critical facilities.
• Good team player, strong project management, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge and experience in ISO certification and audits.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
