DayOne is a global leader in data center infrastructure, seeking a seasoned Facilities & Data Center Operations Manager in Indonesia. You will lead mechanical, electrical, and BMS teams to ensure continuous uptime and safety.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, project oversight, budget stewardship, and compliance with safety standards. This is a hands-on leadership position offering growth within a fast-expanding organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in data centre operations or similar critical infra.
• 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, generators, UPS, and BMS.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Certification in data centre management (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 shift team, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation of all critical systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS, BMS).
• Develop SOPs for maintenance and emergency response.
• Monitor system performance and drive improvements to reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure operations meet SLAs and track KPIs.
• Manage and oversee critical infrastructure projects, on time, within scope and budget.
• Maintain safety compliance with regulatory standards and conduct audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the mechanical, electrical, and BMS engineering teams to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee the 24/7 shift team, ensuring effective communication and coordination to maintain continuous operations.
• Operational Excellence:
• Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of all critical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS, and BMS.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and emergency response.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• SLA Compliance:
• Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with SLAs.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance and performance.
• Address and resolve any issues that could impact SLA compliance promptly.
• Project Management:
• Manage and oversee critical infrastructure projects, including upgrades, expansions, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and drills to ensure team readiness for emergency situations.
• Maintain documentation and records in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the budget for the critical services department.
• Monitor expenditures and implement cost‑saving measures without compromising service quality.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and process enhancements.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to implement best practices.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data centre operations or a similar critical infrastructure environment, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, generators, UPS, and BMS.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
