Job summary

I CAN READ (ICR) invites skilled educators to deliver engaging literacy programs for children aged 2.5 to 18, building confidence in reading, writing and communication. You will assess progress, nurture language skills and foster a positive learning environment using the ICR system.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant education degree, strong English proficiency and certifications, with enthusiasm for teaching and collaborating with fellow teachers and Centre Management to support student

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education with English specialization or equivalent.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Certifications: TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC/Cambridge/Pearson.
• Enthusiasm for teaching children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with co-teachers and Centre Management.
• Operate with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 2.5 to 18 years old.
• Teach pre-reading skills using the I Can Read System.
• Teach reading and comprehension using the I Can Read System.
• Teach writing skills including grammar, editing, and publishing.
• Teach oral presentation and communication skills.
• Help children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior.
• Conduct initial assessments for all incoming students.
• Regularly assess students during classes to monitor progress.
• Maintain regular open communication with parents through meetings and reports.
• Keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update Centre Management on promotions.

Job description

You will deliver engaging literacy programs to children aged 2.5 to 18, helping them build confidence and lifelong skills in reading, writing, and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Work with children between the ages of 2.5 and 18 years old
• Teach pre-reading skills to children using the I Can Read System
• Teach reading and comprehension skills using the I Can Read System
• Teach writing skills, including grammar, editing, and publishing
• Teach oral presentation and communication skills
• Help children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior
• Conduct initial assessments for all incoming students
• Regularly assess students during classes to monitor individual progress
• Maintain regular open communication with parents through informal and formal meetings, progress reports, and term reports
• Keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update Centre Management when a student is ready for promotion

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in English, or equivalent
• Strong command of the English language
• Holding any certifications: TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC/Cambridge/Pearson
• Enthusiasm for teaching children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with co-teachers and Centre Management
• Ability to operate with a high level of integrity and professionalism
