Job summary

I Can Read Indonesia is seeking passionate English teachers to deliver engaging literacy programs for children aged 2.5 to 18. You will develop reading, writing, and speaking skills, assess progress, and maintain open communication with parents.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for passionate and dedicated English Teachers to join our team at I Can Read Indonesia. In this role, you will deliver engaging literacy programs to children aged 2.5 to 18, helping them build confidence and lifelong skills in reading, writing, and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Work with children between the ages of 2.5 and 18 years old.
• Teach pre-reading skills to children using the I Can Read System.
• Teach reading and comprehension skills using the I Can Read System.
• Teach writing skills, including grammar, editing, and publishing.
• Teach oral presentation and communication skills.
• Help children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior.

Conduct Assessments:

• Conduct initial assessments for all incoming students.
• Regularly assess students during classes to monitor individual progress.

Communication:

• Maintain regular open communication with parents through informal and formal meetings, progress reports, and term reports.
• Keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update Centre Management when a student is ready for promotion.
• Complete the parent communication book each week.
• Attend regular Learning Centre Team meetings.

Contribute to Student Growth and Retention:

• Increase sign-ups by maximizing the assessment process.
• Minimize withdrawals by maximizing the teaching process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in English, or equivalent.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Holding any certifications: TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC/Cambridge/Pearson.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Enthusiasm for teaching children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with co-teachers and Centre Management.
• Ability to operate with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
