Job summary

I Can Read Summarecon Bekasi is seeking passionate Part-Time English Teachers to join our team. You will deliver engaging literacy programs to children aged 2.5 to 18 and to adults, helping them build confidence in reading, speaking, listening, and writing.

Key duties include teaching with the I Can Read System, maintaining communications with parents, attending team meetings, and supporting student growth and retention while committing to the Saturday schedule and any occasional weekday classes

Qualifications

• CEFR Level: C1 is required.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Enthusiasm for teaching children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 2.5–18 and adults.
• Teach pre-reading skills using the I Can Read System.
• Teach reading and comprehension using the I Can Read System.
• Teach writing including grammar, editing, and publishing.
• Teach oral presentation and communication skills.
• Help children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via meetings and reports.
• Keep attendance logs and update Centre Management on promotions.
• Complete the parent communication book weekly.
• Attend Learning Centre Team meetings.
• Increase sign-ups by maximizing assessment processes.
• Minimize withdrawals by maximizing teaching effectiveness.

Job description

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Part-Time English Teachers to join our team at I Can Read Summarecon Bekasi.

In this role, you will deliver engaging literacy programs to children aged 2.5 to 18 and adults helping them build confidence and lifelong skills in reading, speaking, listening, and writing.

Working Schedule

• Main working days: Saturday
• Fixed teaching hours: Teaching hours are predetermined and scheduled by the center.
• Teachers are expected to be available and committed to their assigned teaching schedule.
• Occasional weekday classes: Teachers may be asked to teach on weekday afternoons if there is a need for additional classes or teacher coverage.
• Weekday teaching is not a regular schedule and will only be arranged as needed and subject to the teacher’s availability.

Responsibilities

Work with children between the ages of 2.5 and 18 years old and adults

Teach pre-reading skills to children using the I Can Read System.

Teach reading and comprehension skills using the I Can Read System.

Teach writing skills, including grammar, editing, and publishing.

Teach oral presentation and communication skills.

Help children develop social skills and positive classroom behavior.

2. Communication:

Maintain regular open communication with parents through informal and formal meetings, progress reports, and term reports.

Keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update Centre Management when a student is ready for promotion.

Complete the parent communication book each week.

Attend regular Learning Centre Team meetings.

3. Contribute to Student Growth and Retention:

Increase sign-ups by maximizing the assessment process.

Minimize withdrawals by maximizing the teaching process.

Requirements

• Degree/diploma level qualifications, preferably in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood Studies, English, English Literature, or Linguistics.
• Strong command of the English language.
• CEFR Level : C1
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Enthusiasm for teaching children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well with co-teachers and Centre Management.
• Ability to operate with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Willing to commute to Summarecon Bekasi area.
