Job summary

I CAN READ invites a Mathematics Teacher to join our learning centre in Indonesia. You will teach mathematics in English to children aged 4 to 14, building strong academic foundations and a positive learning experience.

You will create an engaging classroom, use hands-on activities and technology, assess students, report progress to parents, maintain attendance logs, and participate in regular Learning Centre Team meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Able to conduct math lessons for children aged 4 to 14
• Proficient in guiding and teaching students to ensure their understanding of daily lessons, including managing corrections
• Proficient in spoken English, particularly skilled in oral communication

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics Courses to children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old.
• Create an inviting classroom environment that encourages children to learn mathematics in English.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, including hands-on learning, interactive sessions, and technology integration, to enhance mathematical concepts.
• Organize and facilitate group activities that nurture problem-solving and collaborative skills within the scope of the provided curriculum.
• Conduct initial assessments for all incoming students.
• Regularly assess students during classes to monitor individual progress.
• Maintain regular open communication with parents through informal meetings, formal meetings, progress reports, and term reports.
• Keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update Centre Management when a student is ready for promotion.
• Complete the parent communication book each week.
• Attend regular Learning Centre Team meetings.
