Job summary

Sampoerna Academy seeks an English Curriculum Head to provide strategic leadership for the development and continuous improvement of the English curriculum across 7 campuses. You will work closely with the Director of Schools, HODs, and Principals to drive academic excellence and high-quality instruction.

The role focuses on curriculum design, assessment alignment, and data-informed improvements while promoting inclusive education and innovative practices across SA campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related area.
• Master’s degree in educational leadership; Curriculum and Instruction is preferred.
• At least 5 years of full-time classroom experience.
• At least 3 years as instructional coach or department supervisor.
• Principal or AP experience preferred.
• Expertise in aligning K-12 programs with standards.
• Ability to interpret benchmark and assessment scores for instructional improvements.
• Experience planning staff training and mentoring.
• Strong organizational abilities to collaborate with teachers, school boards and community.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of the English curriculum across 7 campuses.
• Collaborate with the Director of Schools, HODs, teachers and Principals to drive academic excellence.
• Provide instructional leadership and evaluate curriculum implementation and instruction.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver professional development for HODs and teachers.
• Mentor and support HODs and teachers in professional growth.
• Stay current with educational research and share insights with the department.
• Coordinate system-wide educational activities, events and competitions.
• Develop formative and summative assessments to measure student learning and curriculum effectiveness.
• Analyze student data to identify trends and inform revisions.
• Represent the school at external curriculum-related events and maintain policy compliance.
