Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy is seeking an Engineering Support (Commissioning/Process Engineer) for a fixed-term, full-time position in Indonesia. The role focuses on commissioning, start-up, and handover, requiring strong process engineering and project coordination skills for safe, efficient execution.

The candidate should have 5–10 years in Oil & Gas with LNG exposure, knowledge of maintenance and integrity, and experience in the same role over the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support including design review and operating philosophy development.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations and contractor teams for readiness and execution.
• Verify compliance of process systems and control philosophies with specs and safety standards.
• Support simulations, troubleshooting, root cause analysis during commissioning/start-up.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, and manuals for completeness and operability.
• Monitor commissioning and performance, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure HSE compliance and company standards.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and review commissioning, start-up, and operational procedures to ensure safe and efficient system handover.
2. Plan, coordinate, and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and handover activities.
3. Provide process engineering support, including process design review, operating philosophy development, and system optimization.
4. Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and contractor teams to ensure commissioning readiness and successful project execution.
5. Verify process systems, equipment, and control philosophies comply with design specifications, operational requirements, and safety standards.
6. Support process simulations, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical issues during commissioning and start-up.
7. Review PFDs, P&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, operating manuals, and commissioning documentation to ensure technical completeness and operability.
8. Monitor commissioning and process performance, identify risks or gaps, and recommend corrective actions to achieve project objectives.
9. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company standards, and applicable industry codes and regulations.
10. Support operator training, operations readiness activities, and knowledge transfer to operations and maintenance teams.
11. Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, punch lists, and system handover documentation.
12. Provide technical leadership and guidance to commissioning personnel and project stakeholders throughout project execution and start-up.

• - Having the minimum 5-10 years of working experience for Oil and Gas industries for the sampe position
• - Having the experience of working at LNG
• - Having the knowledge and understanding of Maintenance and Integrity build
• -Having the experience at the same position for the last 5 years
• - Have a good plan, coordinate, and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and handover activities.
