Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial and power ecosystem company. Our respected client is seeking an experienced Chief of Engineering to serve as the organization's highest technical authority, leading engineering strategy, technical governance, design oversight, and project execution across high-tech industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in complex industrial facilities, with strong expertise within semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, electronics, mission-critical infrastructure, or advanced manufacturing environments. Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering greenfield facilities across APAC will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall engineering strategy and technical direction for high-tech industrial projects.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, including design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and project execution.
- Develop and implement engineering standards, technical procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process utilities, HVAC, and cleanroom systems.
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout business development, solution design, and project tendering activities.
- Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, equipment vendors, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure high standards of engineering delivery.
- Drive engineering innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across projects and engineering operations.
- Build, mentor, and develop engineering capabilities and technical talent within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of engineering leadership experience delivering complex industrial or high-tech facilities.
- Strong expertise in cleanroom engineering and contamination-controlled environments.
- Proven experience working on semiconductor manufacturing facilities, pharmaceutical or biotechnology facilities, electronics manufacturing, mission-critical infrastructure, or other advanced manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, process utilities, cleanroom standards, MEP systems, commissioning, and integrated facility design.
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across large-scale EPC or design-build projects.
- Strong ability to engage directly with clients and stakeholders to develop and communicate complex technical solutions.
- Regional experience across APAC is highly desirable.
