Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily roll covering manufacturing, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across polyurethane, composites, rubber, and other technologies. You will supervise operators, coordinate schedules, and work with planning, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams to sustain high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of experience in roll covering, polymer processing, rubber manufacturing, polyurethane processing, or related industrial environment.
• Knowledge of covering technologies, material prep, curing, bonding, finishing, quality controls, and manufacturing KPIs.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience; strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good English communication skills and comfort with MS Office, ERP, and manufacturing systems.

• Lead and supervise daily covering operations across Polyurethane, Composite, Rubber, and other covering technologies, ensuring targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules, allocate workforce resources, and ensure materials, tooling, and equipment are ready to support efficient operations.
• Collaborate with Planning, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and workshop teams to optimize workflow, improve delivery performance, and resolve production challenges.
• Monitor process parameters, investigate quality issues, support corrective actions, and ensure all products meet customer and specification requirements.
• Coach and develop operators and technicians, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities

• You will plan and coordinate production schedules, allocate workforce resources, and ensure materials, tooling, and equipment are ready to support efficient operations.
• You will collaborate with Planning, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and workshop teams to optimize workflow, improve delivery performance, and resolve production challenges.
• You will monitor process parameters, investigate quality issues, support corrective actions, and ensure all products meet customer and specification requirements.
• You will coach and develop operators and technicians, promote a strong safety culture, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and operational excellence.

Expectations for you

• You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Diploma-qualified candidates with extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in roll covering, polymer processing, rubber manufacturing, polyurethane processing, composite manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
• You have knowledge of covering technologies, material preparation, curing, bonding, finishing processes, quality controls, and manufacturing KPIs.
• You have previous team leadership or supervisory experience and strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• You have good English communication skills and are comfortable working with Microsoft Office, ERP, and manufacturing systems.
