Job summary

PT APM Armada Autoparts is seeking an NPD Engineer to lead end-to-end development of new automotive products from quotation through SOP. You will coordinate with production, quality, purchasing, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with automotive quality standards.

Responsibilities include managing the master schedule, preparing FMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP submissions, coordinating sample production and testing, and implementing countermeasures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NPD, R&D, or Project Management within automotive component manufacturing.
• Proficient in 3D design software (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and ability to read GD&T drawings.

Job description

The NPD Engineer is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of new automotive products — from quotation, sample production, and trials through to mass production (Start of Production/SOP). This role requires cross-functional coordination with production, quality, purchasing, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with automotive quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant engineering field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NPD, R&D, or Project Management within the automotive component (OEM) manufacturing industry
• Proficient in 3D design software (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or AutoCAD)
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
• Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping/press, die casting, welding, or assembly
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings using GD&T standards
