Job summary

PT YKK Zipper Indonesia is seeking an experienced Electroplating Supervisor to lead our electroplating department in Depok, West Java. This full-time role requires strong leadership to oversee operations, ensure safety, and uphold quality across the plating processes.

You will manage a dedicated team, monitor schedules, train staff, perform regular quality checks, and drive continuous improvements while complying with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years in electroplating or similar manufacturing.
• 3-4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of electroplating processes and finishing techniques.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Understand QA standards, production planning, and efficiency.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for chemical/electroplating operations.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Experience with production scheduling systems and basic computer literacy.
• Fluency in Indonesian and English is highly desirable.

About the role

PT YKK Zipper Indonesia is seeking an experienced Electroplating Supervisor to join our manufacturing operations in Depok, West Java. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic leadership opportunity within our production facility. As Electroplating Supervisor, you will oversee the electroplating department, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and leading a dedicated team to achieve production targets. This role is pivotal to our commitment to delivering high-quality zip fasteners and components to our global customer base.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the electroplating department, ensuring all processes run smoothly and safely

Monitor production schedules and ensure that output meets quality standards and deadlines

Manage and train team members, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and performance expectations

Conduct regular quality checks on electroplated products to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements

Maintain comprehensive records of production activities, including output data, material usage, and equipment maintenance logs

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the electroplating facility

Coordinate equipment maintenance schedules and liaise with maintenance teams to minimise downtime

Communicate effectively with other departments to align production with overall manufacturing objectives

Report on departmental performance metrics and provide recommendations to senior management

What we're looking for

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in electroplating or similar manufacturing environments, with at least 3-4 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity

Strong technical knowledge of electroplating processes, including surface preparation, plating operations, and finishing techniques

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a manufacturing setting, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Sound understanding of quality control standards, production planning, and operational efficiency

Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those applicable to chemical and electroplating operations

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing specifications

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail

Experience with production scheduling systems and basic computer literacy

Fluency in Indonesian and English is highly desirable

Preference given to candidates with experience in the fastener or zipper manufacturing industry
