Job summary

PT Kolmepak Dashing Indonesia seeks an Electrical Engineering Supervisor to ensure reliability of electrical systems, control, and automation on the PET strapping band production line. You will lead maintenance activities, uphold safety, and drive uptime improvements.

This role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years in manufacturing maintenance with PLC/HMI experience, plus strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Job description

Electrical Engineering Supervisor responsible for the reliability of electrical systems, control, and automation on the PET Strapping Band production line. This position will lead electrical maintenance activities and ensure production machines and utility systems operate safely, stably, and efficiently with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Electrical Maintenance team in daily activities, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure reliability of electrical and automation systems on the PET strapping extrusion line.
• Coordinate breakdown handling and ensure repairs are conducted quickly, accurately, and safely to minimize production downtime.
• Perform troubleshooting and analysis on PLC, HMI, inverter/VFD, servo drive, motor, sensor, encoder, heater, temperature controller, relay, contactor, and other industrial control systems.
• Monitor electrical conditions on extruder, stretching/orientation unit, cooling system, embossing unit, haul-off, winder, and supporting equipment.
• Ensure reliability of utility and auxiliary equipment such as dryer/dehumidifier, crystallizer, chiller, air compressor, cooling system, and material handling system.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance work is properly documented.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on recurring breakdowns and develop corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyze downtime data and determine improvements to increase machine availability and reliability.
• Perform improvements and modifications to electrical, control, and automation systems to enhance productivity and machine efficiency.

About you

• Minimum D3/S1 education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering/Maintenance in manufacturing industry, with experience as Supervisor/Team Leader preferred.
• Experience in plastic extrusion, PET extrusion, PET strapping, packaging, or continuous production line highly preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting PLC, HMI, inverter/VFD, servo system, motor, sensor, heater, and temperature control systems.
• Able to read, analyze, and troubleshoot based on electrical schematic/wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance, breakdown analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership capability and ability to organize maintenance team work and priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with hands‑on approach to technical field issues.
• Accustomed to working with machine uptime targets, downtime reduction, and maintenance effectiveness.
