Job summary

Higher Intelligence is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering team delivering renewable energy and substation infrastructure. You will work on MV collector and substation design, SLDs, and cable routing with exposure to the full project lifecycle.

The role requires 3–5 years in electrical design, a BEng in Electrical Engineering, and ECSA registration is advantageous; strong problem-solving skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• BEng Electrical Engineering degree required.
• 3–5 years in Electrical Design Engineering in renewable energy, distribution, or infrastructure.
• ECSA registration advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design MV and LV electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
• Create SLDs and detailed electrical schematics.
• Size and route cables; design earthing.
• Support full project lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet specifications.
