Electrical Assembly Technician (Teknisi Perakitan Elektrikal)

About the role

PT CNC Design Batam is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join our engineering team in Batam, Riau Islands. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the assembly and integration of electrical components and systems for our manufacturing operations. As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision, quality, and reliability of electrical assemblies that are fundamental to our product deliverables. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of production and contributes directly to the success of our projects and client satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

Assembling electrical components and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, schematics and work instructions

Performing soldering, crimping, and other electrical joining techniques using appropriate hand and power tools

Testing and verifying electrical assemblies and systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes and other diagnostic equipment

Identifying and troubleshooting electrical faults and defects in assembled components

Maintaining detailed records of assembly work, test results and quality inspections

Collaborating with engineers and quality control staff to resolve assembly issues and improve processes

Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised work environment

Ensuring compliance with electrical standards, regulations and company procedures

What we're looking for

A relevant qualification or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field

Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and assembly documentation

Strong knowledge of soldering techniques, wire termination and electrical component installation

Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and basic diagnostic tools

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict quality standards

Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and workplace safety procedures

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly

Key Skills:

Strong proficiency in reading electrical schematics/blueprints, industrial wiring standards, and high-frequency shielding practices (critical for servo drives). A vocational high school degree (SMK Teknik Elektro) or a Diploma (D3).
