Job summary

PT. ALBA Tridi Plastics Recycling Indonesia is seeking an experienced EHS leader to steward safety and environmental compliance across a plastic recycling plant. You will walk the shopfloor with shifts, coach supervisors and operators, and drive risk controls into SOPs, permits, and training.

The role requires a hands-on approach, strong regulatory knowledge, and English fluency to engage with stakeholders and ensure ESG-aligned performance across all operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of EHS experience in process industry such as manufacturing, oil & gas, chemical or recycling environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental, occupational health & safety, and ESG-related regulations.
• Proven hands-on site work (PPE on, floor walks, direct engagement with operators).
• Experience in facilitating EHS risk assessments with frontline teams and turning findings into site-level controls, work instructions, training and follow-up actions.
• Knowledge of local EHS regulations and site-level compliance, including environmental permits, wastewater, hazardous waste, emissions and spills.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ESMS.
• Experience with environmental permitting, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, and sustainability reporting.
• Knowledge of Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD), ESIA, and lender environmental and social requirements is highly preferred.
• Must Have AK3 Umum and/or other relevant EHS certifications preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as the custodian of EHS for a plastic recycling plant, ensuring safe, compliant and healthy operations across all shifts.
• Spend significant time on the shopfloor (including different shifts) to “walk the talk”, identify risks and support supervisors and operators directly.
• Provide balanced leadership: on‑site hands‑on implementation and coaching, combined with policy development, reporting, audits and influencing peers to integrate EHS into plant decisions.
• Identify, assess, control and verify site EHS risks, and ensure key controls are embedded into SOPs, permits‑to‑work, training, supervision and daily operations.
