Job summary

Park Hyatt Jakarta is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to manage shift operations, supervise the engineering team, and ensure equipment reliability in a luxury hotel environment.

The role requires Indonesian nationality, a degree in a related field, and at least 1 year of experience in a 5-star hotel. Strong leadership, business acumen, and basic English are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Indonesian nationality with a degree in any related field.
• Has minimum 1 year experience in a similar position in 5-star international hotel chain.
• Previous experience in luxury hotel is advantageous.
• Strong in leadership and business acumen.
• Able to understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and supervise works orders during shift and ensure subordinates perform daily operations.
• Complete all shift work orders and hand over unfinished tasks to the next shift.
• Inspect and log the condition of equipment, machinery and engineering systems at regular intervals.
• Cease operation of faulty equipment and activate standby systems, then inform superiors.
• Monitor and record utility consumption and assist engineering leadership in maintaining efficiency.
• Train and direct subordinates in proper operation of equipment under control.
• Train subordinates in emergency equipment operation (fire protection and emergency generation).
• Share expertise to develop a skilled and motivated team while observing safe working methods.
• Participate in the Hotel Emergency Team/Fire Brigade and attend Life Safety instruction classes.

Summary

• Collect and distributes works order to the appropriate section and ensure that his subordinates on shift duty are proficient to carry out their daily routines of operation
• To complete all work orders receive during his shift if possible and ensure that unfinished orders are properly handed over to the following shift for completion
• At regular intervals, inspects and logs the working condition of equipment, machinery and engineering systems
• In the event of any sign of abnormality or breakdown of engineering systems, he must cease the operation of that equipment and run the standby system, then inform his superiors of his action
• Monitor and records utility consumption and assist the Dir of Engineer to maintain efficiency
• Trains and direct his subordinate in the correct operation of the equipment and machinery in his control
• Trains and direct his subordinates in the correct operation of all emergency equipment i.e. fire protection panel and emergency generation equipment
• To pass on his experience and skill to his subordinates in order to achieve a highly skilled and motivated team
• To observe and practice safe working methods
• To participate in the Hotel Emergency Team/Fire Brigade
• To attend Life Safety instruction classes and any other Hotel training schemes
