Job summary

Mubadala Energy in Jakarta seeks a Head of Drilling to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for all drilling and well construction activities across the organization. The role ensures safe, cost-efficient execution aligned with OMS, DWES standards and SKK Migas regulations, with accountability for design assurance, readiness, contractor performance, and cost governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in E&P drilling operations.
• At least 10 years in leadership roles.
• Strong offshore operations experience (SE Asia preferred).
• Proven delivery of complex multi-well drilling campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, approval, and execution of drilling strategies and well concepts.
• Ensure drilling programs comply with OMS/DWES and SKK Migas requirements.
• Oversee engineering assurance processes such as DWOP and HAZOP.
• Deliver wells safely within approved budgets and schedules.
• Lead HSSE culture across drilling teams and contractors.
