Howden Maxi seeks a technically strong Energy & Complex Risks specialist to grow our portfolio in Thailand and across the region. You will translate engineering risk into actionable insurance solutions, develop new business with strategic clients, and collaborate with local and international insurers to secure optimal risk transfer.

Fluent Thai and English, a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to manage client expectations are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualificações

• Strong technical background in Energy, Power Generation, Engineering or complex industrial risks.
• Good understanding of operational, engineering and insurance risks.
• Strong client relationship, networking and business development capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new business across Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Upstream & Downstream Energy and other Complex Risks.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and target clients.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across Howden’s wider capabilities.
• Act as a client-facing technical specialist for Energy and Complex Risks and provide risk analysis.
• Support clients in improving risk quality and presenting risks to insurance markets.
• Collaborate with regional specialists and insurers to develop placement strategies.
• Represent Howden in industry events, forums and client activities.

If that includes you, get in touch.Key Responsibilities1 Business Development & Client ManagementDevelop new business across Power Generation, Renewable Energy, Upstream & Downstream Energy and other Complex Risks.Build and strengthen relationships with existing and target clients.Identify and pursue opportunities in Thailand and selected regional marketsSupport strategic accounts, tenders, renewal strategies and client presentations.Identify cross-selling opportunities across Howden’s wider capabilities.2. Technical & Risk AdvisoryAct as a client-facing technical specialist for Energy and Complex Risks.Provide technical risk analysis, risk management advice and practical solutions.Support clients in improving risk quality and presenting risks effectively to insurance markets.Conduct and collaborate with Howden Risk Engineering and regional specialists where additional expertise is required.3. Insurance Market DevelopmentBuild strong relationships with local, regional and international insurers, reinsurers and underwriters.Develop knowledge of market appetite, capacity and technical requirements.Work with Howden’s broking and Specialty teams to develop effective placement and risk-transfer strategies.4. Claims & Technical SupportProvide technical support on complex claims.Work with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, engineers and Howden Claims teams to support effective claim resolution.Apply lessons learned from claims to improve clients’ future risk management.5. Client Service ExcellenceEnsure all deliverables (risk reports, improvement plans, RFP inputs, presentations) are technically sound, well-structured, and client-centric.Build long-term trust through consistent technical advocacy and transparent communication.Position Howden Maxi as the preferred technical partner for insurers, reinsurers, and corporate clients.6. Industry & Howden NetworkBuild relationships with Energy, Power and relevant industry associations and professional networks.Represent Howden at industry events, technical forums and client activities.Collaborate with Howden teams in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and across the region.7. Other DutiesPerform any other assignments as may be assigned by superior to support the company’s business objectives and growth.Key ExpectationsGrow Howden’s Energy & Complex Risks portfolio and new-business pipeline.Strengthen strategic client and insurance market relationships.Create technical differentiation beyond traditional insurance broking.Develop opportunities across PowerGen, Renewable Energy, Upstream, Downstream and other complex/high-hazard industries.Work collaboratively and hands-on, with strong ownership and accountability.Contribute over time to building a dedicated Energy & Complex Risks team and technical capability in Thailand.Experience & SkillsStrong technical background in Energy, Power Generation, Engineering or complex industrial risks.Good understanding of operational, engineering and insurance risks.Strong client relationship, networking and business development capabilities.Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical commercial and insurance solutions.Entrepreneurial, collaborative and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.Strong communication skills in Thai and English.Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify, shape and convert business opportunities by connecting industry trends, client needs, technical risks and insurance-market solutions.Consultative and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
