Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Diamond Driller to support exploration and mine development drilling programs in the remote Papua New Guinea site. You will safely operate diamond drill rigs, maximize core recovery, and ensure compliance with geological standards and safety protocols.

You will collaborate with geologists, supervisors, and maintenance teams to meet targets, perform routine inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement for reliability and performance in challenging field

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of professional diamond drilling experience in mining or exploration.
Experience operating diamond drill rigs in underground and/or surface sites.
Strong commitment to safety, accuracy in core handling, and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and monitor diamond drill rigs to support exploration and mine development drilling.
Achieve planned targets, productivity, and core recovery quality.
Maintain equipment availability through inspections and preventive maintenance.
Carry out routine core handling, sample management, and data recording.
Collaborate with geologists, maintenance teams, and operations staff for efficient drilling programs.
Identify hazards and implement site safety controls in line with procedures.
