Job summary

PT Asuransi Raksa Pratikara seeks a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and integrations ensuring accurate, secure, and accessible business-critical data. You will work with software developers, data analysts, and business teams to improve data quality and automate processing.

You’ll implement scalable data solutions, optimize databases, and contribute to analytical data models and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, or Apache Superset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Engineering, Backend Engineering, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, and/or MySQL.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, indexing, transactions, and optimization.
• Good understanding of data modeling, database design, normalization, and relational database architecture.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, APIs, and system integration.
• Familiarity with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, or Apache Superset is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations across applications, databases, and data sources.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations for secure data exchange between systems.

PT Asuransi Raksa Pratikara is looking for a Data Engineer to help strengthen our growing digital and data ecosystem. You’ll work hands-on with databases, data pipelines, APIs, system integrations, and analytical data models to ensure business-critical data is accurate, secure, accessible, and ready to use.

You’ll collaborate with Software Developers, System Administrators, Data Analysts, and business teams to improve data quality, automate data processing, optimize database performance, and build scalable data solutions.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations across applications, databases, and data sources.

Develop and maintain APIs and integrations for secure and efficient data exchange between systems.

Design and maintain database schemas, data models, tables, relationships, and analytical data structures.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, and database structures.

Ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and availability across systems.

Automate data validation, transformation, synchronization, and repetitive data-processing tasks.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, scheduled jobs, integrations, database performance, and data discrepancies.

Support data migration, replication, synchronization, and transformation across database platforms.

Maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, APIs, integrations, and data architecture.

Continuously evaluate technologies and engineering practices to improve scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

What We’re Looking For

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Engineering, Backend Engineering, or a similar role.

3. Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and/or MySQL.

4. Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.

5. Good understanding of data modeling, database design, normalization, and relational database architecture.

6. Experience or understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, APIs, and system integration.

8. Good understanding of data security, access control, integrity, and governance principles.

9. Familiarity with cloud databases, data migration, replication, high availability, NoSQL, or modern data platforms is a plus.

10. Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, or Apache Superset is a plus.

11. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

12. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an environment where data reliability, accuracy, and scalability are critical.
