DC Operator
Job Summary
PT. Astra Graphia Information Technology is seeking a detail-oriented DC Operator to support reliable, secure, and highly available data center operations. In this junior-level role, you will monitor critical infrastructure across compute, cooling, power, and network environments on a 24x7 basis. You will respond to alerts, perform initial troubleshooting, manage operational tickets, and coordinate timely escalation in line with established procedures and service-level requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor data center infrastructure, systems, alarms, and environmental conditions using approved monitoring and alerting tools.
- Respond to infrastructure alerts, conduct initial diagnostics, and elevate incidents according to operational procedures and service-level requirements.
- Record and manage incidents, service requests, and changes through the designated ITSM or ticketing system.
- Perform routine physical inspections of temperature, humidity, cooling systems, leak detection, power feeds, PDUs, and alarm systems.
- Support hands-on data center activities, including rack-and-stack work, structured cabling, patching checks, equipment status verification, and console access.
- Assist technical teams, vendors, and on-site personnel with equipment access and operational support.
- Support asset and media handling while following data center access and security procedures.
- Maintain accurate ticket records, operational logs, shift handover notes, and activity reports.
- Contribute to SLA, service availability, and operational performance reporting.
Education and Experience
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience; 2 years of experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure operations, or a similar technical environment.
Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
- Understanding of data center operations, including power, cooling, environmental monitoring, equipment checks, racking, and structured cabling.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform initial diagnostics.
- Experience with ITSM or ticketing systems, incident management, and service request management.
- Understanding of escalation procedures and service-level requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, discipline in maintaining records, and effective communication during shift handovers.
- Willingness to work on a rotating 24x7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
