Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer (Data Center) in South Jakarta, Indonesia. You will design, validate, and deliver advanced mechanical cooling solutions for large-scale facilities, coordinating with electrical, BMS, and project teams to ensure reliability and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/thermal engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in HVAC system design, thermal engineering, MEP, or project delivery.
• Experience leading design activities within data center or mission-critical projects.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data center cooling systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical cooling solutions for large data center facilities, including heat load calculations and BOQ.
• Develop and optimize cooling systems: chilled water, DX, CRAH/CRAC, cooling towers, pumps, pipes, AHU/air handling systems, containment solutions.
• Perform thermal analysis to ensure efficiency, reliability, and standards compliance.
• Select and evaluate HVAC equipment for energy efficiency and performance.
• Coordinate with electrical, BMS, and other teams for performance integration.
• Lead design reviews, client discussions, and technical clarifications with stakeholders.
• Support construction, site verification, and commissioning activities for proper installation.
• Prepare engineering docs, calculations, and reports to meet quality and safety standards.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities to improve system performance and delivery.
