Job summary

DHL Express Indonesia in Batam is seeking a diligent customs clearance assistant to cleanse shipment records and support the Clearance team in preparing compliant customs declarations.

You will assist with collating necessary documents for BTO shipments to facilitate smooth handover to the appointed broker, create initial shipment records for over-landed shipments from available documents, and help set clear goals and actions to keep activities efficiently on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in customs clearance environment.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Cleansing of shipments records enabling the Clearance team to complete the Customs declarations for compliance.
• Assist in the collation of the necessary documents for BTO shipments to facilitate smooth handover of the documents to the appointed broker
• Assist in creating an initial shipment record for the over-landed shipment using the commercial documents available on the physical shipment.
• Set clear and realistic goals and objectives. Establish a course of action and a sequence of steps to ensure that activities and objectives are efficiently achieved

Requirements:

2-3 years working experience in customs clearance environment

Good communication skills (English), spoken and written

Having good knowledge of Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Work location in Batam
