About the role

PT CNC Design Batam is seeking a dedicated Customs & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing Logistic team. This is a full-time position based in Batam, Kota Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia.This role involves managing import customs documentation and processes, calculating basic import costs, monitoring shipments, and coordinating with PPJK, customs authorities, freight forwarders, and related parties to ensure smooth and compliant customs clearance.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and submitting customs documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists for import and export shipments

Liaising with customs brokers and government agencies to ensure compliance with import/export regulations and tariff classifications

Monitoring shipment progress and tracking goods through the customs clearance process

Check HS Codes and goods classification including documentation required for DG

Coordinating with logistics providers to arrange transportation and warehousing of goods

Resolving customs issues, delays, and discrepancies to minimise disruptions to operations

Maintaining accurate records of all import/export transactions and customs filings

Ensuring all shipments comply with local and international regulations, including tariff codes and duties assessment

Processing invoices and managing costs associated with customs clearance and logistics services

Communicating with internal departments to provide updates on shipment status and delivery timelines

Managing the physical inventory and controlling inbound/outbound industrial equipments

Ensuring serialized tracking of the inventory parts and protecting sensitive electronics from Batam's high humidity

What we're looking for

Proven experience in operational customs clearance, import/export operations, or related logistics roles in BATAM FTZ Ecosystem

Strong knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements

Familiarity with international shipping terminology and practices (FOB, CIF, etc.)

Understanding of Harmonised Tariff Codes and duty calculations

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in customs documentation

Experience with warehouse management system (WMS) or ERPs (Like SAP, Oracle, or Odoo) to track high-value serialized equipment

Good communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and external partners

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex regulatory situations

Relevant certification in customs brokerage or logistics (preferred)

Key Skills:

Absolute mastery of CEISA 4.0(the Indonesian Customs digital platform), INSW, processing PP FTZ-03 endorsementsfor VAT/import duty exemptions, and navigating the BP Batam IBOSS / IUKbusiness license portals. Candidates with an active customs expert certificate (Sertifikat Ahli Kepabeanan / PPJK) are highly preferred.
