Supercargo is seeking an experienced customs clearance professional to manage daily import/export clearance procedures and related documentation in Indonesia. You will review documents for completeness, monitor progress, and coordinate on-site inspections with customs officers and logistics partners.
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Be a Cukai, related authorities, and a proven ability to resolve issues quickly while maintaining accurate records for management visibility.
This role involves managing daily import/export customs clearance procedures and related documentation, ensuring compliance with Indonesian customs regulations and coordinating with relevant authorities and logistics partners.
Key responsibilities
Handle daily import/export customs clearance procedures and related documentation
Review customs clearance documents and ensure all required information and supporting documents are complete and accurate
Monitor customs clearance progress and promptly handle any issues or delays that arise during the clearance process
Handle on-site customs inspections, including coordinating inspection arrangements and communicating directly with customs officers and other relevant parties
Coordinate with Customs (Bea Cukai), ports, terminals, warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth customs clearance
Follow up on customs inspections, additional document requests, declaration amendments, and other customs-related matters
Maintain proper records of customs clearance documents and provide timely updates to management regarding clearance status and any issues encountered
About you
Previous experience in customs clearance, import/export operations, or a related field in Indonesia is required
Good understanding of Indonesian customs procedures and import/export regulations
Hands-on experience in on-site customs inspections and the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively during the inspection process
Able to independently handle common customs clearance issues and unexpected situations
Familiar with import/export and customs documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), PIB, and other relevant documents
Responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Previous professional experience working with or within Indonesian Customs (Bea Cukai) is an advantage
Experience working for a customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export company is preferred
