Enlight School is seeking a creative, experienced, and detail-oriented Curriculum Developer to help develop, improve, and organize our K–12 academic curriculum.
The Curriculum Developer will work closely with school administration and teachers to ensure that curriculum, lessons, assessments, and instructional materials are academically rigorous, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with recognized educational standards.
The successful candidate will help strengthen our American curriculum and support the continued development of a high-quality learning program across elementary, middle, and high school.
Develop and revise K–12 curriculum, units, lessons, and learning sequences.
Align curriculum with Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and appropriate American curriculum standards.
Develop clear learning objectives, essential questions, vocabulary, activities, assessments, and rubrics.
Create engaging student-centered lessons that promote critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, collaboration, and communication.
Develop and review tests, quizzes, projects, reading comprehension assessments, and performance tasks.
Ensure appropriate progression of skills and knowledge from one grade level to the next.
Review existing curriculum and identify gaps, repetition, or areas requiring improvement.
Develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities, including STEM/STEAM and project-based learning.
Support the development of curriculum materials for elementary, middle school, and high school.
Review textbooks, digital resources, instructional materials, and supplemental resources.
Work with teachers to ensure curriculum is implemented effectively in the classroom.
Provide curriculum guidance, examples, and support to teachers.
Analyze student performance and teacher feedback to identify opportunities for curriculum improvement.
Maintain organized curriculum documentation, scope and sequences, standards maps, and assessment materials.
Research current educational practices and incorporate effective instructional strategies into the curriculum.
Assist with preparation for Cognia accreditation and continuous school improvement.
