Job summary

Our School is seeking an Academic Coordinator to support the effective implementation and coordination of academic programs across the school. The role collaborates with the Principal, Heads of Section, teachers, and parents to align curriculum, assessments, and learning resources.

Responsibilities include coordinating calendars, timetables, lesson plans, and examinations, monitoring progress, and organizing professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in academic coordination, teaching, curriculum development, or a similar educational role.
• Experience in an international school or international curriculum is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and teaching and learning practices.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the school’s academic programs and curriculum.
• Support Heads of Section and teachers in academic planning and curriculum development.
• Coordinate academic calendars, timetables, lesson plans, assessments, and examinations.
• Monitor teaching and learning activities to ensure alignment with school standards and curriculum requirements.
• Support teachers in developing effective teaching strategies, assessments, and learning resources.
• Coordinate and monitor student assessment, academic records, and progress reports.
• Assist in organizing teacher meetings, academic workshops, training, and professional development activities.
• Review and maintain academic documentation, policies, procedures, and reports.
• Work closely with the Principal, Heads of Section, teachers, and other departments on academic matters.
• Identify academic challenges and support the implementation of appropriate improvements.
• Ensure academic activities are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
