Job summary

Pepito Culinary in Bali seeks an experienced Buyer to lead procurement for food, beverages, packaging and kitchen supplies across our Bali operations. You will ensure product quality, pricing, supplier performance, and timely purchasing to support menus and profitability.

Collaborate with Executive Chef, Operations and Finance, manage supplier relationships, monitor market trends, negotiate contracts, and develop the buying team while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Buyer/Purchasing in F&B, Hospitality, Restaurant, Catering, or Retail, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager level.
  • Strong knowledge of food ingredients, beverage products, packaging materials, and supplier management.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and cost control capabilities.
  • Familiar with procurement systems, ERP, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of inventory management and demand forecasting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English is an advantage.

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, pricing, and service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and competitor offerings.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef, Operations, and Finance to support menu planning and cost optimization.
  • Ensure timely procurement to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stock shortages.
  • Analyze purchasing data, food costs, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure all purchased products comply with company quality standards and food safety regulations.
  • Prepare purchasing reports, forecasts, and budget monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality.
  • Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Lead and develop the buying team while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.

Job Summary
