Job summary

World Resources Institute in Jakarta seeks a Consultant as Critical Mineral Analyst for the Climate, Economics and Finance (CEF) Program. This hybrid role (8 days/month in-office) is based at the WRI Indonesia office, with mandatory work authorization and a commitment to equity and accountability in the transition to a zero-carbon economy.

You will conduct research on ESG, critical minerals, and related governance; coordinate stakeholders; prepare knowledge products and policy materials; and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, geoscience, mining engineering, environmental science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant research or policy experience in mining, environment, or sustainability sectors.
• Strong understanding of critical mineral supply chains and ESG issues.
• Proficiency in research, data analysis, and visualization tools.
• Business proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel and legally able to work in Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Develop ESG frameworks for Indonesia’s critical minerals sector.
• Contribute to research reports, policy briefs, and knowledge products.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and partners for field research and workshops.
• Assist in program reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Support dissemination of findings to government, industry, and civil society.
• Present research findings at events and forums.
