Job summary

Amartha is seeking a Portfolio Risk Senior Lead to shape credit policies, oversee portfolio performance, and drive risk strategies at scale in Indonesia. This role partners with Data Science, Product, and Operations to balance growth with asset quality and financial inclusion.

You will own the credit risk framework, lead a high-performing team, develop early-warning systems, and provide forecasts for provisioning and capital planning to inform board-level discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in credit risk management, loan portfolio analytics, or strategy, with 3–5 years in leadership or head-level capacity.
• Proven track record of designing and scaling credit risk frameworks and policies within a high-growth lending environment.
• Strong command of credit lifecycle management, risk segmentation, and portfolio strategy across diverse loan products.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and communicate them to senior management, the board, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the credit risk framework, policies, and risk appetite across all lending products, ensuring alignment with growth targets and regulatory standards.
• Oversee portfolio health through monitoring, trend analysis, and segmentation, translating insights into strategic decisions for senior leadership.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, and Operations leadership to embed risk considerations into product design and growth initiatives.
• Build early-warning systems and proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard portfolio quality ahead of market or macroeconomic shifts.
• Provide credit forecasts, provisioning inputs, and risk-adjusted return analysis that inform financial planning and capital allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the credit risk team while establishing reporting standards and governance for senior management and the board.
