Job summary

Accor Makassar is seeking a Cost Controller to develop and manage cost control systems, analyze financial data, and support budgeting and forecasting. The role involves collaborating with department heads to optimize costs while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.

The successful candidate will have a formal accounting/finance degree, proven cost control experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and relevant finance software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost control, financial management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with financial management software and inventory systems (e.g., Futurelog, Opera).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to monitor expenses and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze financial data, prepare detailed cost reports, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Monitor and report on budget variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Participate in forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects or investments.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on cost control procedures and best practices.
