Responsibilities

About the role

JDH Design and Build is seeking an experienced Cost Control professional to join our team in Mengwi, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing project finances and ensuring cost efficiency across our construction projects. As Cost Control specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, tracking and controlling project expenditures to ensure they remain within budget whilst maintaining quality standards. This role is essential to our project delivery success and directly impacts the profitability and financial health of our operations.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and track all project costs, expenditures and financial commitments throughout the project lifecycle

Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts and variance analysis for project stakeholders and management

Review and analyse project budgets, identifying potential cost savings and efficiency improvements

Process and verify invoices, purchase orders and payment requests in accordance with project budgets

Conduct regular cost control meetings with project teams to review financial performance and address budget variances

Maintain detailed cost records, documentation and financial data in compliance with company standards

Liaise with procurement, project managers and contractors to manage costs and resolve financial discrepancies

Provide financial forecasting and trend analysis to support project planning and decision-making

Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and contractual obligations

What we're looking for

Proven experience in cost control or cost management within the construction industry

Strong knowledge of construction project finance, budgeting and cost management practices

Proficiency in cost control software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and cost streams

Experience with project accounting systems and financial management tools

Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Professional qualification in accounting, finance or construction management is advantageous

Knowledge of construction contracts, terms and conditions

Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
