Job summary

WSP in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking a Cost Controller to support the successful delivery of ongoing projects by monitoring costs, supporting budget control, and helping efficient execution.

You will prepare detailed cost plans, perform variance analysis, generate internal cost reports, and liaise with project managers and finance teams to ensure disciplined cost control.

Qualifications

• Education: Engineering degree.
• Minimum 3-5 years in cost control.
• Proficiency in Excel and cost accounting; MS Project or Primavera preferred.

Responsibilities

• Budget management: develop and maintain cost control plans, set up cost breakdown structures, and allocate budgets/resources.
• Cost analysis: collect and analyze financial data, track variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Forecasting: prepare accurate financial forecasts and update them regularly to reflect project progress.
• Reporting: generate internal cost reports, reconcile project costs with accounting records, and present findings to management.
• Compliance: review subcontractor invoices, validate change orders, and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
• Risk management: perform cost risk analysis, define contingency reserves, and contribute to project risk assessments.
• Collaboration: work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cost control processes.

Qualifications

Qualification: (minimum)

• Education: Degree in Engineering.

Experience, skills, and knowledge

• Minimum 3-5 years in cost control.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in Excel, and cost accounting principles, able to operate Microsoft Project or Primavera preferred.
• Project control/planning experience: prior exposure to project control or project planning is highly preferred, as it strengthens budgeting and scheduling alignment
