Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, equipment, and storage areas
• Ensure all food is prepared with attention to detail, flavour, and visual presentation
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols consistently to prevent contamination and foodborne illness
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, including other cooks and kitchen staff, to ensure timely meal preparation
• Assist in receiving, storing, and managing food inventory and ingredients
• Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure meals are prepared to specification
• Support menu development and food preparation discussions with senior culinary staff
• Respond promptly to service demands and maintain composure during busy service periods
• Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies
