Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager, Contract Management to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts from tender through close-out in Batam, Indonesia. The role ensures compliance, manages risks, and protects commercial interests while supporting project teams.

Ideal candidates have extensive contract management experience in shipbuilding or oil and gas projects, with strong English and Bahasa Indonesian communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree.
• Qualification in Contract Law, Construction Law, Construction Management, Negotiations, Project Management preferred.
• Experience in Ship Building, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract management across the project lifecycle, from tender to close-out.
• Support project teams on contract compliance, risk management, and change orders.
• Track milestones, payment stages, and prepare contractual claims.
• Identify and discuss potential issues with Legal to resolve or mitigate disputes.
• Assist procurement and subcontracting with flow-downs and key terms.
• Provide guidance and training on workflow and contract governance.
• Organize contract familiarization and change management workshops for project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of contract processes and governance.
